Illini State Bank
has a rich history sharing it's beginning in Tonica, Illinois.
Tonica is a town with population of 700. In November, 1913 businessmen and
interested citizens came together, and applied for an application to form
a Bank, then called (Tonica State Bank). The doors opened for business on
February 2, 1914. Through consistent growth in customer service, and
economic development in the area, The Farmers State Bank of Lostant was
acquired in 1983. The Bank has always kept pace with the community's
growth. The officers, directors and personal have worked together to bring
additional and improved service and to anticipate future needs. This is
what helped bring the bank in Tonica from a "start from scratch" bank to
an institution of about $ 60,000,000.00 in assets. With the continued
growth, the Bank foresaw growth to the North. In 1992, Illini State Bank,
built a new facility on S. Columbia Ave., in Oglesby, and in 1998, we
doubled the size of the facility, in order to accommodate the increasing
growth, and better serve our customers.
Illini State Bank
Today
Illini State Bank, after nearly 100 years of service to the Illinois
Valley and LaSalle County, remains a locally owned, locally run and
locally managed bank. Unlike many of our competitors, all decisions are
made by local management and by a local board of directors--people that
know and understand the local business climate, and the local market. Our
goal has never varied - offering the best in friendly and professional
financial services to customers and business in our area, and surrounding
communities. We're small enough to offer friendly personal service, but
yet big enough to offer professional financial services. It is because of
the integrity, conservatism, keenness of insight, and the support of our
many loyal customers, that the Bank has continued to be a strong, friendly
and successful business. |
